At Ground Health, we work with breath in three ways, for physiological health and performance, for presence and focus, and for peace and healing. Our SOMA qualified breathwork instructor, Michael, offers private and group classes.
Introduction to breathwork :
Performance, Presence, Peace
- This 60 min workshop introduces the fundamentals of good breathing practice and theory before gently exploring short protocols from each of the three different ways to work with your breath.
- Good for: getting to know the full spectrum of breathwork from scientific to therapeutic to spiritual
Performance
These clinics are focused on working with the breath for physiological health and performance.
Options: ‘On the Mat’ & On the Track
Our ‘On the Mat’ clinic works through seated and active breathwork exercises in a more traditional studio setting.
Our ‘On the Track’ clinic is a more physically demanding session involving walking and running breathwork drills in an outdoor setting.
Good for: increased energy, improved sleep quality, eliminating snoring, alleviating symptoms of asthma
Presence
The SOMA breathwork sessions, led by our SOMA-qualified instructor Michael, bring together music and breath in a scientifically-validated practice that sits at the intersection of mediation, physical work, and emotional work to support you in achieving clarity of purpose and presence.
Expect: a physically and psychologically stimulating 60min session in a studio setting.
Good for: increased energy, sustained improvement in heart rate variability, immune system-boosting, mood and mental health
Peace
This offering is a guided Conscious Connected Breathing practice that reconnects you with your body and emotions. Our guides are there to facilitate and support you, but you remain in control of the intensity throughout.
Expect: a 60min session in a studio setting with both our breathwork instructor Michael and our psychotherapist Eugenia. They will prepare you, guide you through the journey and an integration at the end.
Good for: emotional release, a sober exploration of altered states of consciousness
